We service and repair all different format video decks such as DVCPRO, DVCAM, XDCAM, and even the old BETACAM or ¾ U-Matic machines. We are equipped to recap and recondition the old circuit boards which can be a common problem with older models. We are the only third party service center capable of Panasonic AJ-HD1400 repair, and we frequently work with other common HD and P2 decks.
Drum Assembly, tape guides, loading mechanism, pinch roller, and cleaning arm are all components that require regular service and replacement every 1000 hours to maintain picture quality
HD decks like the Panasonic AJ-HD1400 and the Sony PDWF1600 have many digital PC components that can fail. We are the only service center that keeps these expensive parts in stock for quick turnaround time
Field units like the Sony PDWHR1 or the Panasonic AG-HPG20 have elaborate professional displays that can experience bad pixels or damaged displays from either physical damage or regular breakdown
Older boards will require replacement of the main board capacitors. Failure to do so will generate error codes, mechanical failures, & possibly damage tapes
Inexperienced technicians have been known to damage the loading mechanism by shoving tapes into the VTR units. Improper replacement or repair of the loading mechanism can damage tapes and lead to irrecoverable media loss
Power surges or exposure to fluctuating current can damage the power supplies of any Panasonic, Sony, or JVC VTR deck unit
The switch to HD has left few decks in the field with even fewer service centers capable of repairing these units. Replacement costs are astronomical compared to the cost of repair and the reliability of these decks is directly related to the care and maintenance throughout their lifetime.
